The Homeless Hub: Many students today either face or witness homelessness in their area. The Homeless Hub offers a tool kit for teachers to students about homelessness that includes worksheets and activities.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration: There is a crisis in the world with drug use and mental health. SAMHSA offers multiple resources for teachers to use to teach students about drug abuse and mental health and how to seek health.
Study.com on the topic of Social Injustices: Everyday students across the globe experience or hear about social injustices. Study,com offers Social Justice Lesson for Kids: Definition, Issues & Examples. This is a great tool and has options for different grade levels.
The Giving Compass: Offers ideas and activities to draw students into learning about global issues and ways to help. This resource focuses on issues such as homelessness, global warming, and sustainability.
The Social Workers Toolbox: An excellent resource that offers a way to teach students about domestic violence. It includes and activity pack and videos.
